You are eligible for Acacia Energy prepaid electricity service if you have a smart meter from your local utility, most homes have a smart meter installed, and the ability to receive either text or e-mail notifications. Acacia Energy services the CenterPoint, OnCor, AEP North, AEP Central, TNMP, Sharyland and Sharyland McAllen areas.
Acacia Energy will need your name, contact information and security information you choose to allow access to your account. There is no credit check and no social security number or other personal information is needed.
You’ll receive daily updates and account notifications via a cell phone text message or email. Acacia Energy sends these notifications to help you manage your account, including a daily account update with balance available, average usage and estimated days remaining, payment receipt notification and reminders to replenish your account when it drops below an estimated 7 days of remaining service.
With prepaid service, you will not receive a monthly electricity bill because you pay in advance for your electricity. This allows you to pay any amount at any time on a schedule that works for you. Acacia Energy can provide you with a summary of your usage and payments at any time.
